Speed Test
Choose 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds. The first accepted Space press starts the timer and counts as press number one.
PRESS · COUNT · MEASURE
Test how fast you can press the space bar. Measure total presses, CPS, and your peak 1-second burst.
No account. No saved scores. Keyboard and touch runs are labeled separately so the result reflects the input method you actually used.
Ready for a 10-second test. Focus the pad; your first Space press or touch starts the timer and counts.
RESULT
This test counts distinct space-bar presses during a fixed time window. The headline speed result is clicks per second, or CPS. A separate Free Counter mode removes the deadline when you only want to count presses.

Count distinct presses without a fixed deadline. Stop when you are done to see average CPS over the elapsed time.
Peak 1-second burst is the largest number of accepted presses found inside any rolling 1,000 ms window during the run.
For a fixed Speed Test, the selected duration is always the denominator. Free Counter instead divides accepted presses by the actual elapsed time when you stop.
The app rejects browser key-repeat events and also requires the Space key to be released before another keyboard press can count. Holding the key down therefore cannot manufacture a high score.
A keyboard run is labeled Keyboard · Space key. On a touch device the large pad can be tapped and the run is labeled Touch · Tap pad. A run locks to whichever accepted input method starts it, and mouse clicks do not count as touch input.
A spacebar CPS test measures one repetitive input, not words per minute, spelling, or typing accuracy. For a WPM benchmark, use the separate Typing Speed Test.
The app uses high-resolution browser timestamps and a fixed deadline, so the score does not depend on how often a visible timer redraws. Browsers, operating systems, background tabs, keyboard firmware, and device input paths can still affect when events reach the page. This is not a hardware-latency certification or switch-health diagnosis.
Focus the large test pad first. If the key still does not appear, try another browser, check extensions or keyboard-remapping software, and compare another keyboard or device before assuming the physical key is defective.
The active run stays in this page memory. There is no account, score history, upload, or app-owned browser storage. Copying a result happens only when you choose Copy result.
Starting on the first accepted input removes a separate countdown click and makes the first intentional press part of the measured run.
CPS means clicks per second. In this app it is the number of accepted space-bar presses divided by the fixed test duration, or by elapsed time in Free Counter mode.
Yes. Touch devices can use the large tap pad. The result is labeled as touch input so it is not presented as the same condition as a physical keyboard run.
No. Refreshing, closing, or leaving the page can discard the current run.
