Typing Speed Test Terms of Use

Last updated: October 15, 2026.

Purpose

Typing Speed Test provides a local browser measurement of typing performance against its prompts. Results are informational and depend on the selected duration, difficulty, prompt, input method, browser, device, and individual run.

No certification or identity verification

A result from this app is not an official certificate, professional qualification, employment assessment, identity verification, or guaranteed measure of performance in another typing system. Do not represent a copied result as independently verified by Mycelgrid.

Hardware boundary

The app measures human typing against text. It does not diagnose a physical keyboard, switches, firmware, operating-system input configuration, or hardware defects.

Availability and browser behavior

The app is provided as available. Browser timing, device performance, accessibility software, input methods, clipboard permissions, and background scheduling can affect behavior. A running test is not paused when the tab loses focus.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use, share, or interpret a result. Compare like-for-like settings when using the app to track personal progress. Do not rely on the app as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions.

Mycelgrid terms

Use of this app is also subject to the Mycelgrid Terms of Use.
