Text Compare is published by Mycelgrid LLC and is subject to the Mycelgrid Terms of Use. This page explains the app-specific boundaries and supplements those platform terms.

Comparison scope

The app compares supplied plain text under its documented preparation and optional equality rules. It highlights additions/removals, not semantic meaning, originality, legal significance, or every possible document-format difference. It does not parse Word or PDF documents, execute code, or search other sources.

Review the result

Line-ending preparation, case/spacing options and token alignment can affect the representation. Repeated or moved content may align differently from another program. Word detail has separate limits; a labeled fallback retains the line comparison. Review edits in their context before relying on them for consequential decisions.

Local sessions and reports

Work is not automatically saved. Keep your own source files and download useful results before leaving. Reports include both prepared texts and have a final-size limit. They are not a promise of original-file byte identity or a restorable app session. You are responsible for the content you enter and for any report you choose to share.
