Space rules trim line edges and tighten ASCII spaces/tabs. Blank lines, non-breaking spaces, and word separators still matter. Your source texts stay intact.

Open UTF-8 TXT or Markdown up to 1 MiB. Each side supports 100,000 input units and 10,000 line records. Your work stays in this tab and is not automatically saved. Limits and help.

A LITTLE CONTEXT

Different words. Meaningful details.

01

Start with the two versions

Paste any two drafts, lists, or code snippets. Keep the comparison exact first. Use the optional ignore rules when case or extra spaces are distracting you.

02

Read the changes clearly

A replacement is a removed line and an added line. Word highlights narrow your attention inside a change group. Wrapped text is still the same logical line.

03

Keep the useful result

Download a visual HTML report, Markdown, TXT, or JSON. Reports contain both texts. Copy or download before leaving; this app does not save your work automatically.

A small change, explained

“The meeting is Tuesday.” becomes “The meeting is Thursday.” With the next line unchanged, this is one removed line, one added line, and one change group. The day words are highlighted.

Does “no differences” mean the original files are identical?

Comparison prepares line endings as LF and removes a leading UTF-8 signature when importing. Ignore rules can make different-looking text compare equally. This is a text comparison, not a file-byte identity check.

Can it detect similarity, plagiarism, or moved paragraphs?

It highlights additions and removals between two supplied texts. It does not search other sources, score semantic similarity, or certify originality. Moved sections can appear as removal and addition.

What happens with invisible characters or large files?

Non-breaking spaces, combining marks, and final-newline presence can create differences. Some characters are hard to see. Large or very different inputs may hit a comparison limit; word detail can fall back to a clearly labeled line comparison.
