- Add your quote number, quote date and optional valid-until date.
- List each product or service with a quantity and rate.
- Add useful scope, exclusions, timeline or terms.
- Review any discount, tax and the final quote total.
- Print the quote or save a PDF through your browser, then send the finished document using your own workflow.

What to include on a quote
A useful business quote normally identifies the sender and customer, quote number and dates, the products or services offered, quantities and rates, the total price, and any relevant validity, scope or terms. Requirements and legal effect can vary, so review the finished quote for your transaction and jurisdiction.
How quote totals are calculated
Line amount → subtotal → discount → tax → quote total
Each line amount is rounded to the selected currency's minor unit before the subtotal is added. A quote-level discount is applied before the optional tax rate. Tax is calculated only from the rate you enter; the app does not look up tax rules or determine whether tax applies.
Quote vs estimate vs invoice
An estimate communicates approximate pricing where scope or cost may still be uncertain. A quote proposes pricing for sufficiently defined scope. An invoice requests payment. Mycelgrid keeps these jobs separate rather than hiding them behind a document-type toggle. The legal effect of a quote depends on the agreement and applicable law.
Valid until
The optional valid-until date communicates how long you intend the quoted pricing to remain available. The app does not determine whether that date creates or changes a legal obligation.
Quote numbers
You control the quote number. Because this app deliberately keeps no quote history, it cannot know your previous number or guarantee that a number is unique.
Discounts and tax
You can use either a percentage discount or a fixed discount. The fixed discount cannot exceed the subtotal. One optional quote-level tax percentage is then applied to the discounted subtotal. This is general arithmetic, not tax or legal advice.
Saving as PDF
Print / Save as PDF opens your browser's print workflow. If your browser or operating system offers a Save as PDF destination, choose it there. The app does not claim to generate a standalone PDF download directly.
Privacy and local work
Your typed quote data stays in the active page memory used by the Quote Generator runtime. An optional logo is read locally for the current document. The app does not persist quotes to browser storage and does not upload quote content.
What this app does not do
Quote Generator does not send quotes, track acceptance, collect signatures, process payments, keep customer records, create recurring quotes, connect to a bank, determine sales tax, or certify VAT/GST/tax or legal compliance.
After a quote is accepted
When the work is ready to be billed, open Invoice Generator and create the invoice from the agreed details. Quote Generator does not transfer customer information automatically.

Is this Quote Generator free?
Yes. The Quote Generator workbench does not require an account or payment to create and print a quote.

Does Mycelgrid save my quote?
No. The app is intentionally session-only. Refreshing or closing the page clears the active quote.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?

What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?

Does changing currency convert the prices?
No. Currency changes the document currency and allowed decimal precision; it does not perform exchange-rate conversion.
Is a quote legally binding?
The app does not make that determination. Legal effect depends on the wording, acceptance, circumstances and applicable law.
