Word Counter is provided by Mycelgrid LLC. Your use is subject to the Mycelgrid Terms of Use, including their acceptable-use, intellectual-property, availability, warranty, and liability provisions. Read those terms with this app information.

What the app measures

Word Counter measures editor text using the rules in its Manual. Word groups, code points, blank-line paragraphs, and punctuation-based approximate sentences are specific definitions. The app does not certify compliance with another publisher's limits or promise identical counts across products.

Reading and speaking times are planning estimates based on selected words-per-minute assumptions. They are not assessments of personal ability or guaranteed delivery durations.

Your material and decisions

You remain responsible for the text/files you use, the right to use that material, and reviewing a result before relying on it. Mycelgrid does not claim ownership of your original writing merely because you measure it here, as described in the platform terms.

Use the destination's own counter when its rule controls a submission. This app does not provide grammar, plagiarism, AI-detection, legal, academic, or professional certification.

Local sessions and exports

The draft is not automatically saved. Copy or download before closing, reloading, or leaving the page. Undo is bounded page memory and not a backup. Browser behavior, file encoding, line endings, and import limits are described in the Manual.

A JSON report excludes your draft, so it cannot restore the writing. TXT/Markdown exports contain the editor text you choose to download. Review exported files before sharing them.

Privacy and third-party services

Read this app's Privacy Policy and the platform policy for local counting, appearance storage, hosting, clipboard/downloads, and contact messages. External services operate under their own terms and practices.
