Time Card Calculator manual
Enter weekly punches, subtract an optional lunch interval, handle overnight shifts, and review the exact time arithmetic before you copy, download, or print it.
1. Enter work punches
For every worked day, enter both Clock in and Clock out. Completely blank days are ignored. A partly entered day is highlighted and contributes nothing until it is complete.
2. Enter lunch only as a complete pair
Lunch is optional. If you use it, enter both Lunch out and Lunch in. The lunch interval must be positive and entirely inside the adjusted work span. The app subtracts exactly the interval you enter.
3. Overnight shifts
If Clock out is earlier than Clock in, the calculator treats Clock out as occurring on the next day. A 22:00–06:00 shift therefore spans eight hours. Lunch punches after midnight are aligned to that same next-day timeline.
4. Read the weekly result
Weekly total is the sum of valid worked-day minutes. Decimal hours divide those minutes by 60 and display two decimals. Hours and minutes remain the exact minute-based result.
5. Optional planning threshold
Open Planning threshold to split the total into time up to the threshold and time above it. Enter whole hours and minutes. This is planning arithmetic only; it does not determine legal overtime eligibility or rates.
6. Copy, CSV, and print
Copy summary contains weekly totals and the optional planning split without individual punch times. Download CSV contains the current valid day breakdown. Print / Save as PDF opens a clean browser print surface with the summary and day rows.
7. Reset and work loss
Reset asks for confirmation when meaningful work exists. This version keeps time-card work only in page memory, so leaving, reloading, or closing the page can discard punches unless you first keep an output yourself.
Limits
The ledger is fixed to Monday through Sunday and supports one optional lunch interval per day. It does not apply pay rates, payroll rounding, taxes, legal overtime rules, employee scheduling, attendance tracking, cloud history, or multi-break policies.
