Notepad Terms of Use

Purpose and scope

Notepad is a browser-based utility for writing, organizing, finding, and exporting Notes and Projects. It provides local storage rather than an account, cloud backup, cross-device synchronization, collaboration, or guaranteed permanent archive.

Your work and backups

You remain responsible for the content you create and for keeping independent copies of important work. Browser data can become unavailable or be removed. A save-status warning means you should copy or download before leaving. Saved version history is limited; it is not a substitute for an independent backup. Automatic restore from backup ZIP is unavailable.

Exports and formatting

Export formats preserve different parts of a Note or Project. Other applications can render Markdown or extended blocks differently. Review downloads and printed output before relying on or sharing them. A full backup or internal JSON export may contain private content and metadata.

Availability and changes

The app is provided under the availability and limitation provisions in the platform Terms. Features may change, and browser permissions or resource limits may affect operation. Do not use Notepad as your only copy of material whose loss would cause serious harm.
