Mbps to MB/s Conversion Table
Reference common decimal data rates using the exact relationship 8 bits = 1 byte.
| Mbps | MB/s |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.125 |
| 5 | 0.625 |
| 10 | 1.25 |
| 25 | 3.125 |
| 50 | 6.25 |
| 100 | 12.5 |
| 150 | 18.75 |
| 200 | 25 |
| 250 | 31.25 |
| 300 | 37.5 |
| 500 | 62.5 |
| 1000 | 125 |
| 2500 | 312.5 |
| 5000 | 625 |
| 10000 | 1250 |
How to read the table
Each MB/s value is the Mbps value divided by 8. For example, 100 Mbps becomes 12.5 MB/s and 1000 Mbps becomes 125 MB/s.
Reverse conversion
To go from MB/s back to Mbps, multiply the byte rate by 8.
What the table does not show
These are exact unit equivalents, not measured internet or storage speeds. Real transfers can operate below the theoretical rate.
