DEAD PIXEL TEST
Dead Pixel Test Manual
Use this manual to run the nine-color screen inspection, enter or leave fullscreen, navigate safely, and understand what the browser can and cannot tell you about the physical display.
Prepare the display
Clean the screen using the manufacturer's recommended method and move the browser window onto the display you want to inspect.
Start the test
Choose Start dead pixel test. The app begins on Black and asks the browser to enter fullscreen. If fullscreen is rejected, the test remains usable inside the browser window.
Navigate colors
Use Previous/Next, tap or click the test field, Arrow Left/Right, Space, Home, or End. Held keys are ignored, and accepted color changes are deliberately throttled so the app does not create rapid flashing.
Inspect every field
Look across the complete display on black, white, red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and gray. Recheck any suspicious location on several fields.
Exit
Choose Exit test. If fullscreen is active, the app asks the browser to leave fullscreen and restores the normal page.
Limits
The app does not automatically detect, count, repair, score, or certify physical display pixels. It does not test refresh rate, touch input, color calibration, or warranty eligibility.
