CLICK SPEED TEST / GUIDE
How Click Speed Testing Works
A click speed test measures how many accepted pointer clicks reach the browser during a defined time. The useful score depends on knowing the duration, button, and input method used for the run.
CPS is a fixed-duration rate
For this app, CPS is accepted clicks divided by the selected duration. Sixty-two clicks in 10 seconds is 6.20 CPS.
Why one-second and sixty-second tests differ
Short tests emphasize burst speed. Longer tests include pacing and endurance. Compare results only when the duration is the same.
Left click and right click are separate conditions
Primary and secondary buttons can feel different and may be used differently. The app keeps the selected button visible in the result. Touch is only a Left Click input because a finger tap is not a secondary mouse click.
Peak 1-second burst
Peak burst finds the densest rolling 1,000 ms section of accepted clicks. It complements the full-duration CPS score but does not replace it.
What the browser cannot prove
A browser result does not directly measure switch actuation force, USB polling, firmware scan rate, end-to-end latency, or whether automation generated a click. It is a browser-observed input-speed measurement.
Use the right Mycelgrid app
Use Mouse Tester when you want to diagnose button, wheel, held-click, or pointer behavior. Use Space Bar Click Test when the input being measured is the Space key.
