Business Days Calculator · Manual

How to Use the Business Days Calculator

Count working days between dates or move a date forward or backward by a chosen number of business days.

Count business days

Enter Start and End dates. Both endpoints are included by default. Clear either endpoint checkbox when that date should not participate in the range.

Add or subtract business days

Choose Add or Subtract, enter a Base date and a whole number of business days, then Calculate. The Base date is day zero; a nonzero move starts with the following or preceding calendar date.

Working weekdays

Monday through Friday is the default. Open Working calendar to choose any one through seven weekdays.

Excluded dates

Add up to 1,000 dates that should not count, such as holidays or company closures. Duplicate dates are deduplicated. An excluded date on an already non-working weekday has no additional effect.

Holidays are not automatic

The calculator does not identify your country, state, employer, bank, carrier, or observed-holiday rules. Add the dates that apply to your calculation.

Date range

Dates use the proleptic Gregorian calendar from 0001-01-01 through 9999-12-31. Count mode requires End date to be on or after Start date.

Exports use only the current successful calculation. Editing any calculation input makes the result stale and disables exports until Calculate runs again.
