What a barcode generator does
This app turns a value you provide into a machine-readable barcode symbol. It can calculate or validate the structural check digit for supported UPC, EAN, ITF-14, and ISBN-13 values. It does not assign an identifier or confirm who owns it.
Which barcode type should I choose?

Barcode image vs. official identifier
Mycelgrid does not issue UPCs, EANs, GTINs, or ISBNs. A valid check digit only means the number is structurally consistent. If you need a globally unique GS1 identifier, obtain it through the applicable GS1 organization. ISBNs are allocated through ISBN registration agencies.

Printing and scan quality
Barcode performance depends on more than a mathematically valid value. Keep the quiet area around the symbol, use strong dark-on-light contrast, avoid stretching a rendered image, and test the actual printed sample with the intended scanner and trading-partner requirements.
Barcode vs. QR code
QR codes are a separate job with different workflows such as URLs, contact cards, and dynamic destinations. This Barcode Generator intentionally does not generate QR codes.
Privacy
Generation and file parsing happen in this browser page. The app does not upload barcode values or imported files, and it does not store your work after you leave the page.
