About Alphabetizer

A small workbench for the satisfying task of putting a list in order.

Alphabetizer is published by Mycelgrid LLC. It gives list ordering its own space: an editable original, a separate result and a clear choice of rule. It is part of the Mycelgrid apps collection.

A focused job

Paste one item per line. Put words or names in alphabetical order, use natural order for numbered labels, compare complete signed decimals exactly, or sort by Unicode code-point length. Copy the result or keep a local report. You control when sorting runs and the original remains available.

Small details matter

Equal items stay in their original relative order, including in descending sorts. Duplicates and blank records are kept. Comparison options can ignore case or ASCII edge spaces without rewriting a line's spelling. Line endings become LF, with a documented final-newline rule that preserves empty records.

Your list stays in your browser

Alphabetizer processes lists and selected text files in your browser. It does not upload your list or automatically save your work. Copy or download anything you want to keep before leaving.
