Workspace Quick Start: Create, Capture, Import, or Organize

Choose the shortest path for your first Workspace task.

Quick answer

Open Start, then choose New document, Capture response, Import checkpoint, or New project. Workspace saves the item in the matching section.

Choose the action that matches your task

New document

Choose this when you want to write or edit.

Capture response

Choose this when one assistant answer is worth keeping.

Import checkpoint

Choose this when you have a compatible Chat Backup Checkpoint ZIP.

New project

Choose this when several related items need one place.

Create a Document

  1. Open Start.
  2. Choose New document.
  3. Enter a title.
  4. Add or edit the content.
  5. Choose Save.

The saved item appears in Documents. Choose Download document, then select Markdown, Plain Text, or JSON.

Capture a Response

  1. Open Start.
  2. Choose Capture response.
  3. Paste the assistant answer.
  4. Add available source details when they are useful.
  5. Choose Save response.

The saved item appears in Responses. Choose Make copy when you want an editable Document.

Import a Checkpoint

  1. Download the package from Chat Backup Checkpoint.
  2. Open Start in Workspace.
  3. Choose Import checkpoint.
  4. Select the compatible ZIP file.
  5. Review the import result.

Workspace imports the file you select. It does not capture the live conversation itself.

Create a Project

  1. Open Start.
  2. Choose New project.
  3. Enter a clear name and optional description.
  4. Choose Create project.
  5. Add related work as the Project develops.

Open the Project, find Download project, then choose Markdown, JSON, or ZIP.

Find the item again

  • Documents for editable writing.
  • Responses for saved assistant answers.
  • Checkpoints for imported conversation packages.
  • Projects for grouped work.

Use Search when you remember a title or part of the content but not where it was saved.
