What Is Mycelgrid Workspace?

Learn what Workspace keeps and when to use Documents, Responses, Checkpoints, and Projects.

5 minute readLast reviewed August 2026

Quick answer

Mycelgrid Workspace helps you create, edit, organize, and continue work. It keeps Documents, Responses, Checkpoints, and Projects separate so you can use each one for the right job.

What you can do in Workspace

Create and edit Documents

Write from a blank page, paste existing text, import supported files, add blocks, and review the result.

Keep useful Responses

Save an assistant response as a preserved record. Make a Document copy when you want to edit it.

Import Checkpoints

Open a compatible Chat Backup Checkpoint package and review the conversation work it contains.

Organize Projects

Keep related Documents, Responses, and Checkpoints together without combining them into one item.

Choose the right type

Document

Editable work you are writing or revising.

Response

A useful assistant answer you want to keep as captured.

Checkpoint

A saved conversation package imported from Chat Backup Checkpoint.

Project

A way to group related work.

Workspace does not silently turn one type into another. Use Make copy when you want an editable Document from a preserved item.

Your work stays under your control

Workspace stores supported work in this browser. This tool does not upload it for processing. Use Back up Workspace data before clearing browser data or moving to another device.

Use Download project when you need one Project. Use Download document when you need one Document outside Workspace.

Use Workspace with Chat Backup Checkpoint

  1. Create and download the package with Chat Backup Checkpoint.
  2. In Workspace, choose Import checkpoint.
  3. Select the compatible ZIP file.
  4. Review the Checkpoint and its Responses.
  5. Make Document copies or add items to a Project when you are ready to continue.

Start with one task

Open Workspace and choose one clear task:

  • Create a new Document.
  • Capture one useful Response.
  • Import one compatible Checkpoint.
  • Create a Project for related work.
