About Mouse Tester

Mouse Tester is a browser-based Mycelgrid app for checking mouse-compatible input without creating an account. Its job is to make browser-observable button, wheel, movement, and timing signals understandable while staying explicit about what a web page cannot prove about hardware.

Product goal

The shortest path is immediate: move into the test area, click, scroll, and observe. A separate 10-click screen can surface unusually rapid repeat intervals, and Reset makes it easy to retest an abnormal result from a clean state.

Why the measurement boundaries matter

Many browser tools use hardware-sounding labels for measurements that are actually derived from page events. Mouse Tester deliberately labels its movement rate as browser-observed and treats rapid repeat intervals as screening observations rather than a switch-failure verdict.

Local-first design

Mouse movement coordinates, button counts, wheel events, and diagnostic summaries remain in the page. The app does not need a remote scoring service, account, or database for its core job.
