Calculation identity

Rectangular modes use a rectangular-prism volume formula. Round columns, piers, post holes, and circular pads use the cylinder formula with Math.PI. The app normalizes dimension units before calculating, keeps net volume separate from the chosen extra allowance, and rounds bag quantities up from the adjusted order volume.

Bag-yield references

The built-in 40 lb, 50 lb, 60 lb, and 80 lb reference yields follow published approximate QUIKRETE Concrete Mix Product 1101 yields. They are references rather than universal constants. Use the custom-yield input when your product specifies a different yield.

Local-first behavior

Project measurements and results stay in the current browser page. The app does not create an account, upload project measurements, save an app-owned calculation history, or provide cloud recovery. Share App shares the canonical app URL rather than the dimensions or result.

Important boundaries

The result is a geometry/material estimate. It does not determine structural dimensions, slab or footing adequacy, bearing capacity, code compliance, concrete strength or mix design, reinforcement, pricing, supplier minimums, truckloads, delivery quantities, or engineering suitability. Verify actual measurements, product yield, and ordering requirements before purchasing material.
