Using Chat Checkpoint with Mycelgrid Workspace
Chat Checkpoint preserves conversation evidence; Mycelgrid Workspace is the separate working environment for importing compatible Checkpoints, keeping original Responses protected, and making editable Document copies.
Preserved evidence and working documents are different
In the current Workspace candidate, imported Responses and Checkpoints are separate record types. Protected originals are intended to remain evidence. Editing a Document copy does not change the preserved original Response.
A practical workflow
Capture the conversation in Chat Checkpoint.
Review the numbered Responses and create the Checkpoint or Complete package that contains the evidence you want to keep.
Import the compatible Chat Checkpoint ZIP into Mycelgrid Workspace.
Open a preserved Response or Checkpoint and use the explicit Document-copy workflow where supported.
Edit and develop the Document as working material, then save/export it locally according to the Workspace workflow.
Why the boundary matters
A transcript or preserved Response is evidence of what happened in the AI conversation. A working Document is material you are intentionally changing. Keeping those roles separate makes it easier to preserve provenance while still turning useful AI output into lasting work.
