Repeated wording can create more than one valid alignment, and deterministic text comparison cannot decide which differences matter most to your work.
Method
Text Compare normalizes ordinary line endings and tokenizes each source into words, punctuation, and spacing. It uses a deterministic longest-common-subsequence comparison to identify ordered material shared by both versions.
Shared tokens are shown as unchanged context. Tokens present only in the earlier version are classified as removed, and tokens present only in the revised version are classified as added. The visual result and the plain-text report are generated separately from the source fields.
Copy Report and Download TXT resolve the current inputs immediately before producing the artifact, so a user does not need to compare again after editing.
Limit: This is a structural text comparison, not semantic understanding, professional source control, legal review, plagiarism detection, or automatic change acceptance.
